the unfathomable misery of being

We are warriors. 

If you have made it this far, you are virtually indestructible, but why are you here? It’s probably because, like me, a heavy heart has been the greatest of your burdens for as long as you can remember. If so, let me be the first to welcome you to The Retributory Onslaught. 

The Retributory Onslaught is a concept I created to help give me purpose in a life that seems devoid of all reason because there is no official “fucked up people” organization and the loose groupings of melancholy individuals that exist typically focus on “recovery” and commiserating. This will not do for me. 

As the founding member of Retributory Onslaught, I use the concept to guide me in all things. The idea is that I can exact a minor revenge on my oppressors, detractors, abusers, and haters by becoming the opposite of what they tried to create by attempting to destroy me. By NOT oppressing and abusing others and instead, endeavoring to live by a higher standard of ethics than I was shown, I can find comfort and contentment in knowing that it is, in fact, I who is destroying them by ending their legacy of pain and beginning to break the cycle. If I can overcome my pain and trauma and treat others with kindness and respect, I can begin to erase the memories from our collective consciousness, erase the existence of a monster(s) from reality, and maybe guide my kids through an early life free(er) of the injuries that might prevent them from realizing their potential. I believe this one small change can have a Butterfly Effect influence on the reduction of suffering. It doesn’t solve everything, but it is a thing I can do to give me purpose that feels like it matters in a society that seems to be in a state of constant decay…and this is a thing you can do too.

Join me in exacting revenge through the destruction of those who would seek to poison and destroy my brothers, sisters, children, and friends. By rising together in opposition to the forces that would have us hate, we can generate a truer love than currently exists; a love which encompasses all sentient beings and connects us all to the infinite consciousness. In this way, we become free; free from the constraints of fear, free from the poisonous thoughts which cripple us, free to realize a greater purpose, and free to enjoy the fleeting experience of life in a universe both so great, comprehension is impossible and so limited that we often feel trapped and unable to continue.

If this rings true to you, consider returning to engage in the finer intricacies of life, while maintaining your vision of self and destroying that which holds you down.

The catch…

Within, you will not find platitudes or easy solutions. What you will find are concepts that feel real. You will find a path to realizing redemption. You will find a way to be true. You will find the greatest challenge of your life and you will have the opportunity to choose to rise to it and promote the best version of you that you can be, or you can crumble in the face of your own hell and remain a victim to monsters dead and dying.

The choice is yours.

The only question is…
